America Jones is a registered nurse and the Chief Executive Officer for Kindred Hospital El Paso, a 72-bed long-term acute care facility. Kindred Hospital is a Center of Excellence for patients who require ventilator weaning, extensive wound care, and specialized complex medical management.   

America grew up in El Paso and graduated from Jefferson High School.  She was in a marching band and played the trumpet throughout high school. She continued her higher education at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).  She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master in Nursing Systems Management. She is a proud UTEP alumni and a proud board member of Sun City Percussion.    

America has been married to Wayne, a retired Captain from the El Paso Fire Department and they have two sons, Kody and Dylan.  The Jones family is a strong supporter of marching and musical arts programs.  Both sons are percussionists and have performed with open and world class drum corps.
