Ethereal Winds Independent (EWI) is an indoor winds marching ensemble under Sun City Musical Arts. EWI made its debut season in 2023 and was the first of its kind in El Paso, Texas. This ensemble is competes in Winter Guard International (WGI) Sport of the Arts in the Independent A class.
In its first season, Ethereal Winds traveled to the WGI Championships in Dayton, OH and placed third in its class! It is currently still the only independent indoor marching winds ensemble for the next several hundred miles. EWI continues to make history locally, regionally, and nationally.
