Caleb Tullius / Chief Executive Officer
Caleb Tullius is a proud El Paso, TX native musician. A graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, he earned a Bachelor's in Music Education and a Master’s in Music Performance in Conducting. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Education from UTEP. While in his collegiate studies, he has performed with numerous ensembles of varying genres. He also studied brass pedagogy abroad at the Domaine Forget Academy in Saint-Irenee, Quebec, Canada. Additionally, he marched with the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
As a former band director, he has steered marching bands to the UIL State Marching Band contest on multiple occasions. His leadership has also been instrumental in guiding several chamber ensembles to perform at prestigious events such as the International Trumpet Guild Conference, the International Tuba Euphonium Association Conference, and the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition.
Caleb is a brass technician on the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps music staff. Caleb also serves on several design groups for SCMA’s ensembles and high school marching bands.
As the Chief Executive Officer of Sun City Musical Arts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the community's music and performing arts, he has made significant contributions. He has established and directed Sun City Independent, Ethereal Winds Independent, Allure Independent, and Arsenal Drum and Bugle Corps, all of which have played a crucial role in the community's artistic development. Sun City Independent is a WGI Open Class Semifinalist and continues to lead the marching percussion scene in El Paso. Ethereal Winds Independent is an A Class Champion and continues to be the only group of its kind in the area for the next several hundred miles.
Caleb enjoys spending time with his fiancée and their two dogs and cats. Caleb is committed to the growth of the music and performing arts in El Paso and the greater Southwest.
